Orbicam is made by Orbitensa LLC. The iPhone app does not require an account and does not upload your camera roll to us. This page covers the marketing site and what the app itself stores on device. Use this URL in App Store Connect.
Who we are
Orbitensa LLC publishes Orbicam (bundle com.orbitensa.orbicam) for iPhone. The store listing title is “Orbicam: Dual Camera Vlog.” If this policy and the product disagree, the in-app behaviour wins — write us and we will correct this page.
The Orbicam app
The iPhone app is designed so you can record and export without creating an Orbicam account. Video and photos you capture stay on the device unless you share them through the system share sheet or save them to Photos.
- No Orbicam login, profile, or cloud library
- No GPS tracking and no location permission
- No upload of your takes to Orbitensa servers
- Purchases use Apple In-App Purchase, mediated by RevenueCat, to unlock Pro
Permissions the app requests
The app only asks for access it needs to record, save, or caption. You can refuse a permission in iOS Settings; the matching feature then stays off.
- Camera (NSCameraUsageDescription): front and back cameras together for dual-camera video. Dual recording still needs a device that can run two lenses — we do not fake a second camera.
- Microphone (NSMicrophoneUsageDescription): records microphone audio with the take.
- Photo library add (NSPhotoLibraryAddUsageDescription): saves composed videos and photos to Photos when you export. We do not browse your existing library.
- Speech recognition (iOS NSSpeechRecognitionUsageDescription): optional on-device captions from clip audio. Audio is not sent to Orbitensa. If the OS cannot transcribe on device, captions stay off.
What we collect — and what we do not
This mapping is what you should expect in App Store privacy labels. We do not copy “Data Not Collected” while in-app purchases are on.
- Not collected: name, email, or phone from inside the app; location; contacts; advertising ID; tracking across other companies’ apps
- On device only: video, photos, layout settings, and captions you generate. Those files are yours.
- Purchase history: Apple sends a receipt so Pro can unlock. RevenueCat stores entitlement status against an anonymous app user id so Restore Purchases works. We do not receive your full card number.
- Device or other IDs: an anonymous RevenueCat app user id stored on the device, plus the store’s purchase identifiers
- Diagnostics: crash traces, device model, and OS version from Apple or our crash tools so we can fix recording failures. We do not use that channel to build an advertising profile.
- Website: this marketing site does not run a sign-up form. If you email us, we receive the address and message you send so we can reply.
Purchases and subscriptions
Pro is sold as in-app purchase on the App Store (monthly, annual, and lifetime). Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Monthly and annual plans auto-renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Lifetime is a one-time unlock.
Manage or cancel auto-renewal in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Restore Purchases is in the Orbicam app. Prices shown in the store listing and paywall are the current offer; taxes and local pricing follow Apple.
This website
The marketing site does not run a sign-up or mailing-list form. If you write to the contact address below, we receive that email so we can answer you. We do not sell those messages.
The site may use strictly necessary cookies. We do not run advertising pixels on this page today. If that changes, this policy will change first.
Third parties
Apple processes store billing under Apple’s terms. RevenueCat processes entitlement status so the app can unlock unlimited time, remove the export badge, and keep discrete front and back files. Crash tools, if enabled, receive anonymised diagnostics. None of those parties get your camera roll from us, because we never receive it.
Children
Orbicam is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has contacted us, write to us and we will delete that correspondence.
Your choices
Because the app has no account, there is nothing to “download your data” from Orbitensa for recordings — the files are already on your phone. You can delete clips in the gallery, revoke permissions in system settings, and restore or cancel purchases through Apple.
If you are in a region with additional privacy rights (for example the EEA, UK, or California) and you have emailed us, you can ask for access, correction, or deletion of that correspondence. We will respond to the contact email below.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
We will post updates on this page and change the date in the header. Material changes to how the app handles media will also be reflected in App Store privacy nutrition labels.
